The Local Organizing Committee, IAG, FIG and the sponsors are working together to offer a limited number of financial assistance grants to support participation at the Symposium Measuring the Changes. An application for a grant can only be made by those who are authors of accepted abstracts. Financial assistance funds are limited so it is unlikely that full support will be possible.

The deadline for grant applications is December 17, 2007.

IAG grant will support the participation of two young scientists (age 32 or under) from developing countries.

TOPCON grant will support the participation of a young scientists (age 32 or under).

These grants will cover the costs of registration and accommodation (five nights in a 3 star hotel).

How decisions are made:
All awards are contingent on the acceptance of the abstract for presentation by the Scientific Committee. All decisions regarding awards will be made by the Local Organizing Committee.
If two or more authors of one abstract request assistance, priority will be given to the presenting author. The first author listed will be considered to be the presenting author unless otherwise indicated. Selected candidates will be notified until December 31, 2007.
